Portrait of Elinor Kleiner in a white blouse against a bright background

Strategy, investments and international business, built on nine countries of commercial work.

French and Swedish, raised in Brussels, now in New York specialising in alternative investments at IE. What I do is commercial analysis and market research: sizing an opportunity, testing whether the numbers behind it hold, and turning that into a recommendation someone can act on.

I have done that inside a hotel group, a global beauty portfolio, a luxury real estate network, a consumer goods category team and a venture I cofounded at sixteen. Different sectors, one method. Where I want to apply it next is consulting, wealth management, corporate finance in technology, healthcare and beyond, and real estate and hospitality on the development, investment and asset allocation side.

French, Swedish, Dutch, Spanish, English.

French and Swedish by family, Dutch from Brussels, Spanish and English from the places I studied and worked in. Every role so far has run in more than one of them, which is why a room with several nationalities in it feels ordinary rather than difficult.
